On the 185 km of skating and classic high-altitude trails there are numerous ways to pursue this healthy and exhilerating sport. Well-organized tobogganing evenings and exciting transfers to the toboggan huts make these popular events a special experience for the whole family ... Gliding on skates over frozen lakes and ice, to a bit of music – romantic, original fun for the whole family that has stayed the same for centuries ... Ice-skating is probably one of the oldest winter sports and a nice balance to skiing. In addition to ice-skating, curling also has a long tradition. Our tip: A special highlight is ice-skating on lake Piburg, but check out the conditions as is only possible / permitted when a certain minimum ice surface has been controlled.

Not a sport for everyone - but an ice-cold adventure in which the waterfalls in Ötztal play the main role. There are several possibilities; even beginners can try ice climbing. Crampons and ice tools are part of the basic equipment. The correct technique is shown to you by experienced mountain guides.
